Established in 2023, Cherokee Fireplaces is a proud family-owned and operated company deeply rooted in the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the Native Cherokee people. Every piece we create is meticulously handcrafted with great care and precision, using only the finest premium materials available. This dedication results in products that embody both exceptional quality and genuine passion for our craft. Our unwavering commitment to preserving tradition and masterful craftsmanship ensures that each fireplace serves not only as a functional and inviting centerpiece but also as a meaningful and timeless work of art, thoughtfully designed to enhance any living space.
“ We should get a fireplace this year for Christmas, so we can decorate, and have a place for Santa to come down for the kids this year.” My wife said to me in 2023. I loved the idea of having a center piece that would just change the entire feel of our living area. Something that would make our home feel more cozy, a timeless piece for the holidays that our whole family could enjoy. The home we are renting at the time had not come with one and we did not want to get anything constructed into the walls for that very reason.
So we set out to go shopping for the Fireplace of our dreams. We shopped around at many different local department stores only to find out that, there isn’t much quality pieces out there. Small, very cheaply made with fragile materials that wouldn’t last long at all. Especially if it was going to see any kind of transportation in relocation situations. The online options were a little better, with more features and larger sizes, but inevitably, still made with same materials with just a much higher price tag!
Our search left us disappointed and defeated. She then made a suggestion that would change the course of my career forever. “Why don’t you just build us one instead?” I pondered it for a moment standing in the department store we were at. I had done woodworking throughout my life, and she knew what i was capable of, so i took that experience and got to work. I thought to myself “Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a company who provided custom pieces that were mobile and easy to take with you in case you moved, something in the same style as the ones at the department stores that are plug n play but very well made with real quality materials to last a lifetime! A piece of quality, hand crafted work of art, that looked like it was seamlessly part of the original construction of the home!”
We have produced and provided dozens of people across Texas, Oklahoma and even up to Kansas, with Custom Fireplaces, and continue to today. “ It completely feels like a brand new home in here now, we love it!” As a small company who takes pride in our craft, we live for those moments we can make our customers vision come to life.
